I started working on these tracks after I went to new york last year right around the time kanye dropped the original version of wolves. I was in brooklyn catching up with some friends I hadn’t seen in a long time, and we started talking about music and I got a bunch of good recommendations, including cashmere cat.

I listened to wedding bells on the flight home and over the next few days, and decided I wanted to do something with this EP. I started and stopped on it a few times and came back to it at the beginning of this year, finishing most of it on plane flights and trips to new york, sarajevo, vancouver, charleston, hawaii, mexico, and in a couple cafes in san francisco.
